I love, love, love the way this handmade handprint ornament turned out! The best part?! It only took a total of maybe 15 minutes to make it! My friend had given me these frog ornaments awhile back as a Christmas gift, and for whatever reason, the frogs were sitting on a clear ball ornament. I finally upcycled it into this glitter-y keepsake ornament that will treasure my 2 year olds handprint for years to come......

I used Martha Stewart's glitter to make this ornament. I love the sophisticated look of her glitter and the quality of it. I also used her glitter glue- I am not as impressed with her glitter glue. Anyway, back to the How-to! I used a washable marker to trace my son's handprint (just wipe it off and start over if you mess up). Then, I used a paintbrush to fill in the handprint with glitter glue. I took the green glitter and shook it on the ornament over a paper plate (this makes it easy to place back into the jar because you can fold it in half to form a funnel). All you have to do next is fill in the remaining areas with glue and shake on a different color glitter- PRICELESS!

I love the little hand on the ornament! Recently, we made glitter ornaments, but we put glue in the middle of the clear bulb and then put glitter in and moved it all around inside. I like how yours turned out.

Thanks! I am going to go check yours out right now.... I want to let my son do one with shaking the paint but glitter sounds fun too!
