Footprint Penguins for January- Handprint Calendar 2

Aren't they adorable?

To make the Footprint Penguins: Place a black footprint on a piece of paper (I used card stock). When it dries, paint on a hat and a scarf (optional) and orange penguin feet and a beak. I glued on googly eyes but you may also choose to paint the eyes.
To make the baby Thumbprint Penguins: Place as many black thumbprints as you wish. When they dry, paint on the white tummy and then add the eyes, beak, feet, and wings.

I printed a tiny calendar for the month of January from the Print Free Website using this yearly calendar template.

I also added a cute January Poem from the CanTeach Website. There are several to choose from, this is the poem I chose:

January
Now is here -
A fine new start
For a whole new year.
The snow comes down
In the dark of night.
When we awake
The world is white.
In January
When there's snow,
We get our sleds
And away we go.

Have you seen the Keepsake Handprint Calendar I made? I decided to start one for this year too since it's so cute to see my son's growth documented in such a unique way.
