Handprint Campfire with a Song
This is a perfect example of what happens when you put too much paint on the hand (see orange color)~ when you press down to make the handprint, it oozes out in between the fingers! Normally I would redo the handprint, however, for this project it actually looks okay- yay! To make the Handprint Campfire (bonfire), paint the fingertips yellow, the bottom of the palm red, and the rest of the hand orange. I think it would look good with 3 different shades of orange too. I painted 2 logs with a medium brown color and then used a darker brown to add depth by streaking in some lines and painting an end of each log (the circle).
I found some cute campfire songs on the Preschool Education website. I wrote the lyrics to the Going Camping Song and placed it next to the fiery handprint. It's sung to the tune of I'm a Little Teapot- cute!

You are amazing. I love this one!
I am always in awe with all the fabulous ideas you can come up with. Who knew how many things a handprint and a footprint could be turned into?! What an inspiration you are...so creative!
These are SO ADORABLE we did a spin of these for our recent "Camping" Date Night Daycare workshop! They turned out FABULOUS and the parents LOVED them! What a great idea! thanks!
A friend and I run a once a month "Daycare" on Friday and Saturday nights for parents to go out. We do themed workshops and this month happened to be "Camping Out"! We did a spin off of these as one of our crafts! They turned out SO CUTE and the parents all LOVED them!
