Isn't this precious? I will have to say that using my 2 year old's hands to form a heart shape was a lot harder than I expected it to be! I imagine a preschooler or older would be able to do this very easily. You'll have to excuse the uncentered (is that a word?), crooked look to it!!! I made the mistake of cutting the heart shape 1st and then pressing on the handprints. Thankfully my 2nd attempt turned out somewhat okay (I just flipped it over!).... it would make more sense to do the handprints 1st and then draw a heart shape around it after it dried. I used an old heart-shaped box from a Valentine's Day gift from the hubby one year but you could probably do the old school way of folding another sheet of paper in half to cut a symmetrical heart shape and using that piece as a template. The foam stickers are from a Valentine's kit that I bought at Wal-mart for $5. We have been using these to make tons of fun art projects!

So cute! I am going to do something similar with Dawson, hopefully it turns out as well as yours did!
My plan is to put his handprints in red on a white paper, let them dry and then tape a heart over the handprints and let him paint in red. That way when I take off the taped heart his handprints will be in heart and I can say he made it since he will be painting it. Does that make sense?! *lol* It's not going to go in my blog because it's part of his grandparents Christmas present (we are doing an art project every month and then making a calendar to give to them) so I have to keep it a surprise. I'll email it to you when we do it though, if I still have your email address.
Holy smokes! That was a long comment! *lol*
adorable!
Sounds fun Jamie! I think I understand what you are saying- it took me reading it twice but I'll blame that on being sick so my brain doen't want cooperate with me...lol! I have others that I need to put the finishing touches on but am so behind on posting (in both blogs) because of this yuckiness I feel! Thankful my little one isn't sick :)
