My son LOVES the Dr Seuss Book Ten Apples Up on Top. He has the Bright and Early Board Books version. It's so fun to hear him counting with so much excitement! To go along with the book, we did a fingerprint apple activity. I photoshopped a head shot of my son to the bottom of the page, added a red border, and the words 10 Apples Up On Top. You could also just cut a photo (or print) and glue it to the bottom of a piece of paper. I dipped my son's thumb (or finger) into red paint and placed 10 apples on top of his cute, little head. He usually doesn't get into fingerprint/thumbprint art, but he loved counting all the red apples for this project!Dr Seuss's Ten Apples Up on Top and Fingerprint Apple Craft

Adorable! And, I love the handprint fish in your header, too.
This is so cute, and perfect for this book! I was trying to get my little one to put her finger in the paint during our project, but she wasn't interested. I'll have to keep working on it for projects like this one.
Another great idea.
We did something similar with dot stickers, I love the idea of using finger prints!! The picture is adorable :0)
