Let's see, for starters, my name is Amanda (a.k.a. artsy_momma). I met my hubby at a restaurant that we both worked at- he's a cook, I was a server. He is everything I could hope for in husband and I feel lucky to have such a wonderful man in my life. We have an adorable toddler boy (almost 2 1/2 yrs old) who is my pride an joy. I am now a stay-at-home-mom to him and feel blessed to have such an awesome opportunity! Besides what you see on my blogs; I love to decorate, watch chick flicks, eat chocolate, and spend time with family & friends.
I normally don't post photos of myself but here is one that we took earlier this year:
I have 3 blogs~ really only 2, my 1st blog Keepsake Handprint Calendar isn't updated at all. I created a keepsake calendar with my son when he had just turned 1 with his precious hands and feet. I made it for the following year to have as a calendar keepsake for him to look back on one day. Each day is filled with all the activities we did for that particular day. I volunteered to share this idea at the place where we attended Mommy & Me classes. They loved it and suggested I put it on Facebook so I decided to blog it (and join Facebook!) as a way to share such a fun idea with the rest of the world. Since then, I have officially become addicted to Handprint and Footprint Art and started my 2nd blog dedicated to just that. I love being creative and I love sharing ~ this allows me to do just that! I also started a 3rd blog titled Crafts~N~Things for Children. This is a blog dedicated to journaling all the fun photos/crafts/activities I do with my son on a daily basis. So much easier than scrapbooking (which I also love!). There you will find kid's crafts, learning themes, yummy stuff, kid-friendly websites, great parent resources, etc. You are also welcome to join us on that blog on our journey in learning Spanish. My hubby & son are both Hispanic and I feel it is very important to incorporate it into his everyday life. As a bonus, I get to learn too! I have also started a Spanglish Book section.... those are our favorites! There is also a mommy made section which I plan to do a LOT more of ~ there are just too many blogs with fabulous tutorials to try!!!
