Handprint Mardi Gras Mask for Kids

Fat Tuesday is just around the corner and thought it would be fun to try some crafts with my son in honor of it. I made this Handprint Mardi Gras Mask for him to play with.

To make the mask, I placed my son's hands on orange craft foam and traced around them. I wanted to use yellow, but didn't have any so I opted for orange instead. After the hands were cut out, I placed one slightly overlapping the other and then taped it on the backside. Then, I cut out 2 holes for the eyes.

We decorated the mask with sequins, feathers, and foam stickers in the colors green, purple, & yellow.

For the holder, I wrapped 2 green pipe cleaners around a Popsicle stick.

Ready to party!

This is such a fun idea! Handprint crafts are too cute. I am sharing this as part of my Mardi Gras Fave Five Friday tomorrow, with a photo and a link back.
