We made this Handprint Peeking Bunny Craft as a stART project. The book we read was called Flora's Blanket
by Debi Gliori. It is a cute story about Flora, a baby bunny, who wants to go to sleep with her blanket but cannot find it. Her family offers her theirs but she only wants hers. They search everywhere for it, even outside. Eventually, Flora grows sleepy and her parents place her in their bed. The father bunny feels a lump under his pillow and discover it is Flora's missing blanket.
I hid one of my son's blankets and he had a blast trying to find it just like the bunny in the book. Then, we made the bunny craft. The bunny is hiding in the grass. This craft was inspired by the one I saw on Busy Bee Kids Crafts, which involves no painting and is made from a paper plate.
To make our version, I cut out 2 bunny ears and a circle from white paper (any color). My son glued it in place and then also glued on googly eyes and a button nose. We painted his hands green and placed 3 on the right side and 3 on the left. Now the bunny is peeking out from the grass! When it finished drying, I painted on the pink part of the ears and the bunny's whiskers.
I am linking up to these weekly link parties!

I always like seeing a story linked with a craft. Brings literature alive! Thank you for sharing at It's Playtime.
