This is a fun Watercolor Craft using traced hands that my son and his buddy made. We traced our sons hands on 12x12 cardstock (or use watercolor paper) and then went back over the outlines with a black oil pastel. Then the boys painted their picture with watercolors.
Here is my son's finished painting:

This is one that my son made in his Art Starts Here class when he was only 15 months old!

I am so motivated by your blog. I get so many ideas for my daycare. A lot of my daycare provider friends do to. You're so creative. Keep them coming. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for your kind comments!
What a simple, but beautiful idea. I will definitely be adding this to our list. Thanks so much for sharing!
What a fantastic idea! My kids love to watercolor too! Thanks for linking up to the Sunday Showcase.
Oh, I really love this! We are going to be doing this soon - thank you so much for the inspiration! Love, love how it looks. :)
My little guy, 2 years old, loves to have his hand traced and to trace his own hands. It usually ends up being simple lines on the paper.
This is a great way to extend that interest and to make a 2 part project for him.
Thank you for sharing.
I love the way the finished piece of art turned out. Thank you for linking this up at Fun for Kids Friday and I hope to see you there again!
