Handprint Bat Flying Over the Moon + a handprint painting tip!

We made a Handprint Bat using a fun tip/technique I learned while doing this other handprint bat craft at a Michael's make & take Halloween event. First, my son painted his left hand. At the store event, the guy just squirted paint into each child's hand. My son likes to paint his.

Next, rub your hands together until both hands are completely covered. This is such an awesome tip when you need both hands painted the same color! Plus you don't have to worry about the paint drying too fast.

I had my little guy hold his hands up so that they looked like bat wings flying and he pressed it onto yellow construction paper that way. As usual, he picks a number to count to and then lifts his hands up.

This is what it should look like. The tips of the thumbs create the ears and the fingers & palm create the wings.

He glued on googly eyes and I painted on a little mouth with teeth. Then I cut around the bat in a circle shape so it looked like it was flying inside the moon.

I link up to these parties!
