| handprint basketball craft by my 4 yr old |
Since
March Madness has been going on, I thought it would be an excellent time to do a
basketball-themed craft. Inspired by the
handprint football craft we did for the Superbowl, I had the kiddos do the same thing but with a basketball.
We started by painting each hand and pressing them on the paper as shown in the photos. I didn't have any purple paint, so I put a 1 blob of red paint on my daughter's hand and 1 blob of blue paint on the other hand. I asked my 4 year old what color it was going to make and he proudly said purple. I rubbed her hands together and she watched her little hands change colors.
To make the
handprint basketball, I just painted the palm area orange and had them make a palm print in the middle of their handprints. I drew the lines in after it finished drying.

My little guy has been in such a basketball mood this week too. He has been playing quite a bit with his Little Tikes Adjustable Basketball Hoop
. I got it for him almost 3 years ago and it is still one of his most played with toys. I wish the height adjuster would stay in place better (it tends to fall off at times), but love that it is adjustable- soon my daughter will be able to play it!
What basketball crafts have you done? I would love for you to share in the comments section.
I am linking up to these parties.
