My son & I made this handprint Earth Day craft - great for kids of all ages!
Start by cutting a paper towel into a circle shape. Have the child color it with a green and blue marker. My little guy sat at the computer desk while he colored looking at a clipart of an Earth.
His favorite part- spray the artwork with a water bottle and watch the colors bleed together! After it dries, it should resemble the earth.
Have the child place their hands in a closed position and trace around them. We used red paper, but other colors would work too! After they are cut out, place them in a heart shape and glue to the bottom of a piece of paper. Glue the earth above it. I wrote the following on it:
"One Earth, One Chance"
"Love Our Planet"
"Earth Day 2012"
We also made a recycle symbol craft and my toddler made a recycled collage!
