Footprint Lion King Craft

Footprint lion craft for kids
We gave my son the movie The Lion King for his 4th birthday and we decided to invite his friend over for a movie playdate to watch it. Before the movie, the boys made footprint lions. They are simple to make!

How to make a footprint lion:

  1. Make a yellow footprint.
  2. Paint a yellow tail.
  3. Make either brown or orange colored thumbprints (or fingerprints) around the heel. The heel is the head and the thumbprints are the lion's mane.
  4. Make a matching thumbprint at the end of the tail.
  5. After it dries, add eyes, nose, whiskers, and a mouth.

Thanks Michelle & Melanie! We also have a thumbprint lion of just the face in our archive that we made for a Madagascar movie playdate as well as a footprint lion plate & a cutout version of a traced foot. Here is the thumbprint one:
